Jill Mitwell '73

Jill has had a 30 year career in soap opera television. She was director of One Life to Live,earning her three Daytime Emmy Awards (2008, 2009 and 2014) and four Directors Guild of America Awards (1993, 2000, 2007 and 2013) along with countless nominations.

Harvey Carter '73

Harvey Carter was a three-year starter and two year captain of the Bison basketball team. Carter was a First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection as a senior in 1972-73. He was inducted into Bucknell's Hall of Fame in 2005.

Peter Balakian '73

Peter Balakian won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for poetry for his collection, Ozone Journal, published by the University of Chicago Press. He began his life as a poet at Bucknell during his sophomore and junior years and is the second Bucknell alumnus to win a Pulitzer.

J. Douglas Nauman '73

Doug Nauman achieved distinction in both football and track and field at Bucknell, earning regional and national honors in the former sport and setting a school javelin record in the latter. He was inducted into Bucknell's Hall of Fame in 1984.

Marjorie A. Deck '73

While at Bucknell, Deck was selected to the Susquehanna Field Hockey Association first team and participated in the Mid-East Tournament in that sport. In tennis, she was undefeated in dual matches throughout her four-year career. She ranked first in Pennsylvania and fifth in the East. She was inducted into the Bucknell's Hall of Fame in 1989.

Mitchell Farbstein '73

Twice an honorable mention Little All-America fullback and an ECAC All-East choice in 1972, Mitch Farbstein also set a school discus record and won three letters in both football and track and field at Bucknell. He was inducted into Bucknell's Hall of Fame in 1991.

Stan Durtan '73

A three-year letterman at tackle, Stan Durtan was one of the finest offensive linemen to play for the Bucknell football team. The fourth member of the 1972 team to be elected to the Hall of Fame, Durtan was perhaps the most honored player on that 6-3 unit. Stan was inducted into Bucknell's Hall of Fame in 1998.
