Journey to Bucknell
Our Journey to Bucknell program seeks out the brightest leaders, learners and innovators and invites them to learn more about Bucknell's welcoming, world-class campus.
Journey to Bucknell is designed to introduce high-achieving high school seniors who present a diverse perspective to the endless possibilities that await at Bucknell.
The application for the Fall 2024 Journey to Bucknell program has now closed. Check back next summer for details about our Fall 2025 fly-in program.
When is Journey to Bucknell?
There will be two Journey to Bucknell programs held in the month of October. Students will have the option to choose between the following dates:
- Oct. 3-5, 2024
- Oct. 24-26, 2024
What do Journey participants do?
You will:
- Hear about Bucknell admissions, the financial aid application processes and our three colleges at a Fall Open House (October 5 or Oct 26).
- Learn more about affinity-based support, like Multicultural Student Services.
- Attend a meet and greet dinner event with students and staff from our Center for Access & Success.
- Sit in on a real Bucknell class, led by a professor.
- Connect with admissions counselors on the Access & Outreach team in the Office of Admissions.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a high school senior who presents a diverse perspective.
- Be enrolled in an academically rigorous program of study with a minimum unweighted grade-point average of 3.5.
How much does it cost?
As a fly-in program, Journey to Bucknell is free for students who are selected to participate — plus one parent or guardian as their guest.
