While earning a bachelor's degree in biology, Gray Rogers was president of Kappa Sigma fraternity, co-captain of the varsity tennis team, and participated in the National Collegiate Bridge Tournament. He was involved with Concern and Action, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Ski Club.
He married another Bucknellian, Mary "Mollie" Edwards Rogers '51, and together have raised four children.
Since graduation, he has been a loyal and tireless volunteer worker for alma mater. He was vice president of the Bucknell Club of Northern New Jersey in 1964 and twice a class agent for the university. He was on the Alumni Board of Directors from 1991-96, serving on its executive committee for three years. He also was a member of the Northern New Jersey Regional Campaign Committee and hosted a presidential dinner party in 1999. Quite active with reunion committees, he served as co-chair of his 20th reunion, and a gift committee member for his 45th and 50th reunions. In 1996, he was the recipient of the Alumni Award for Distinguished Leadership.
Continually strong benefactors of the university, he and his wife established the Mary and Graydon Rogers Scholarship in 1996.
