The humanities help us understand and respond to our culture, our shared heritage and the world at large. Bucknell faculty and administrative leaders are collaborating in new ways through the newly formed Humanities Council to re-imagine teaching and research across disciplines to enhance student learning. This is an exciting time to invest in the humanities at Bucknell.
A new Humanities Center will serve as a collaborative academic and social space for faculty and students across the humanities. The planned renovation and expansion of Demosthenean Hall, augmented by a new grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, will create a visible institutional commitment to humanities on campus.
Humanities programming with more opportunities for student research in the humanities, a Summer Humanities Teaching Lab, a Humanities Center Programming Fellow, a themed interdisciplinary Humanities Fair, guest lecturers, service-learning opportunities and more.
