Chris CarneyChristopher "Chris" Carney was a U.S. Congressman from the Pennsylvania 10th Congressional District, serving as a Democrat from 2007-2011; born in Cedar Rapids,Iowa, March 2, 1959; B.S.S., Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa, 1981; M.A., University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wyoming, 1983; Ph.D., University of Nebraska-Lincoln,1993; formerly a Commander, United States Navy Reserve, an Associate Professor of Political Science at Penn State University; terrorism intelligence analyst from 1995-present; Chris currently sits on the United States Institute of Peace International Board of Directors, is a Senior Scholar at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and was appointed as a Federal Commissioner to the Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission by President Obama. Chris was a founding board member of Ocean Thermal Energy Corporation, a founding board member of, and is the founding partner of Stone City Solutions, LLC. Chris currently serves as a Senior Specialist under the Director of National Intelligence.
