Color Guard

The Army ROTC Color Guard serves in the distinguished role of both guardian of our nation's flag and ambassador to the community. Rigorously trained and held to the highest standards of professional conduct and excellence, these cadets are often requested to carry the Stars and Stripes during parades, sporting events and other ceremonies.

CULP

A select number of cadets have the opportunity to spend a summer abroad in a foreign country. While there, the cadets will train with members of the host nations' military, as well as experience their culture, language and way of life.

Awards Banquet

The Army ROTC Awards Banquet is an old army tradition. This formal event teaches cadets about military etiquette, tradition and how to properly wear their Army Service Uniform. Cadets are recognized for recent accomplishments, and they have the opportunity to mingle with cadre, alumni and distinguished guests.

Dining In

Each fall semester, Bison Battalion Cadets and Cadre attend a formal dinner in which they boost morale and embody esprit de corps. During the Dining In, the battalion is honored to be able to host a distinguished guest that shares invaluable experience and knowledge.

CWST

Combat Water Survival Test

During your time as an ROTC Cadet, it is a requirement to complete the Combat Water Survival Test in order to commission as an Army officer. The CWST is a sequence of events that involves swimming laps without assistance, treading water, and equipment ditch, a 15-meter swim carrying an M-16, and a 3-meter blindfolded drop while carrying an M-16.
