The Office of the First-year Experience (FYE) is here to make your Bucknell transition successful through a wide variety of opportunities to make connections with your peers and get involved on campus.

In support of the Bucknell University mission, our office seeks to facilitate the academic and social transition of new students to the Bucknell community. Through participation in FYE programs students will develop academically and intellectually, cultivate interpersonal relationships with peers, explore diverse identities and intersections, discover career and involvement opportunities, create healthy habits, understand civic responsibility, and articulate unique values and beliefs.

Question

Can't Wait to Get Here?

Attend a pre-orientation program. They are designed to help acclimate students and introduce them to fellow classmates, upperclass students and University administrators before orientation even begins.

The Residential Colleges

Connect with your peers and professors before you even go to your first class.

Each Residential College is tied to a first-semester class, which means you get to live and learn with students who share your interests and connect with your professors outside of class.
