A new season of Bucknell University Film/Media Screenings launches Aug. 25 at the Campus Theatre, located at 413 Market St. in Lewisburg, Pa. Semester highlights include filmmaker Alex Ross Perry, who will present his newest film, "Queen of Earth," in the Tuesday Film/Media Series at the Campus Theatre on Sept. 29.
In Film/Media Studies, students learn about film and media practices through historical study of American and world cinema, theoretical analysis and creative, hands-on production.
Aug. 25, 7 p.m.: "The Third Man" (1949) Followed by "Around the World with Orson Welles: Revisiting Vienna" (1955)
Sept. 1, 7 p.m.: "Double Suicide" (1969) Introduced by Professor Erik Lofgren, East Asian studies, in conjunction with his course Passion & Perversion in Japanese Film Co-presented by the Department of East Asian Studies
