The second bi-annual Bucknell University Short Film Festival will be held Sunday, May 1, at 7 p.m. at the Campus Theatre on Market Street in downtown Lewisburg. This event is free and open to the public.
Now called 'Reel Bucknell, the festival began as BUSFF in 2014 and is a student-run event whose mission is to showcase student-produced short films from students across Pennsylvania. This year, the festival will feature works by 12 students, including Jordan Gibson '16. A panel discussion of visiting student directors and a reception will follow the screening of the short films, all of which are 15 minutes or less in length.
'Reel Bucknell was originally designed and organized out of an English & Film Studies course, ENFS 254: Film Exhibition and Programming, in 2014. Rebecca Meyers, academic film programmer and lecturer, teaches the course.
