The British family-friendly acrobatic circus company Barely Methodical Troupe will present its show Bromance on Tuesday, July 19, at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Weis Center.

Both identical performances are approximately one hour in length and are free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.

The Bucknell University Office of Summer Session, Daily Item, Hanna 92.3 and Sunbury Broadcasting are sponsoring these performances. A grant from Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation as part of its ArtsCONNECT program with support from the National Endowment of the Arts makes this tour engagement possible.

Bromance is the debut show from Barely Methodical Troupe, winners of the 2013 Circus Maximus Award and 2014 Total Theatre and Jackson's Lane Award for Circus at the Edinburgh Festival. Relationships are the heart of Bromance, where handshakes become handstands and back slaps become back flips. Audacious, touching, exhilarating, and with a great soundtrack, this is a tour-de-force of cutting-edge physical heroics, wittily exploring male companionship and its limits.

For more information about these performances contact Lisa Leighton, marketing & outreach director, at 570-577-3727 or by email.

A free outdoor performance on the Weis Center Plaza on Friday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. by Americana group Bumper Jacksons will kick off the Weis Center's 2016-17 season, which includes more than 35 professional performances. The 32-page season brochure will be available in late July, and tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, Aug. 12.
