There will be free pre-performance music in the Atrium Lobby from 6:30–7:15 p.m. The Cafe will open at 6:30 p.m. and remain open until show time, however please note that food and beverages are not permitted in the concert hall.
Pianist Liz Story, singer and multi-instrumentalist Barbara Higbie and guitarist Sean Harkness are master musicians who made their names on the Windham Hill label, and they have created a special show in celebration of the winter solstice. This ensemble has toured nationally for the past 10 years in support of the recording series that sold over eight million copies. Indigenous traditions around the world recognize the significance of the winter solstice and this concert brings the best of acoustic music to joyfully mark a special moment in time.
Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item, which will be donated to Union County Children and Youth Services and distributed to local families in need during the holiday season.
The performance is sponsored, in part, by Coldwell Banker Penn One Real Estate.
