LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Emmy-nominated 2003 Bucknell Candlelight Christmas Service will air on PBS stations in 16 states across the country during this holiday season.

The program, which highlights the uplifting power of the music and the beauty of Rooke Chapel, features the Rooke Chapel Choir and the Rooke Chapel Ringers under the direction of William Payn, director of choral studies at Bucknell. Also participating are an organist, flutist, harpist, violoncellist, oboist, and student percussionists.

The Rooke Chapel Choir and Rooke Chapel Ringers are nationally and internationally known undergraduate musical ensembles. Additional fame came when the 2003 production of A Bucknell Candlelight Christmas was nominated for an Emmy in 2004.

A Bucknell Candlelight Christmas is a production of WITF-TV, Harrisburg, and underwritten by Bucknell University.
