Spiritual and Religious Life at Bucknell

Bucknell encourages and supports a wide variety of religious experiences on campus. Founded by Pennsylvania Baptists, the university has always been open to students of all religions. Today, our students represent most of the world's religious traditions. Although Bucknell is no longer affiliated with the Baptist Church, it takes pride in its Baptist heritage and our founders’ principles of freedom of thought, religious independence, and service to others.

Spiritual reflection and growth are an important part of the college experience, a time for students to explore their personal values and spiritual goals. The world today presents continuing challenges to values, and we encourage students to cultivate respect for other individuals and cultures, and to develop strong moral standards.
