The mission of the Office of Community Service is to instill within Bucknell University Students a deeper understanding of their roles in local and global communities and to create engaged citizens.

The Office of Community Service:

  • Acts as a liason between the University and community members in order to connect individuals and groups to local agencies and service opportunities.

  • Conducts outreach to identify needs of all target groups.

  • Serves as a resource for students and community members and advises individuals and groups on the logistics of service initiatives.

  • Advises community service student leaders to coordinate and implement service and philanthropical  programming on campus and within the community.

  • Coordinates the Federal Community Service Work Study Program

  • Compiles community service data, communicates events, and creates publications related to community service.

The I Serve 2 Campaign encourages every student to complete at least 2 hours of community service per academic year.  All hours are logged thru a tracking system.
