Corporate & Foundation Relations

Giving to Bucknell

As part of the division of University Relations, the Office of Corporate & Foundation Relations (CFR) develops sustained partnerships between Bucknell and external organizations to achieve common goals.

 Mission

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations:

  • Identifies corporate, foundation, and government funding sources capable of making significant gifts to Bucknell University
  • Coordinates relationships among faculty and staff and corporate and foundation contacts
  • Ensures that requests for funding are submitted in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinates the stewardship of gifts

Through external support, Bucknell is able to provide increased research opportunities, state-of-the art equipment and facilities, internship programs, lecture series and workshops, curricular enhancements, and financial aid. The results are a well-trained and highly educated workforce, advances in knowledge, innovative technologies, community investment, and increased visibility for both Bucknell and its partners. Maximize Your Success

Because each project is unique, we offer a range of materials and services to assist faculty in obtaining projects from foundations, corporations, and federal agencies.

Some of the ways we can help include:

  • Offering advice on funding strategies
  • Helping research potential grant sources
  • Providing information about obtaining funds from foundations, corporations, and federal agencies
  • Assisting with development of grant proposals
  • Stewarding relationships

It is essential that Bucknell coordinate its funding efforts for both institutional and individual projects. For this reason, the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations works closely with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Deans’ offices to support projects identified as university priorities. Before contacting us for assistance, faculty are advised to first speak with their department chair and associate dean so they are also aware of projects as they are developed. We also request that faculty inform the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations about any plans they may have to contact foundations and corporations and to forward copies of correspondence and proposals.

We welcome you to contact us for more information.
