Another recent graduate, Lakshmi Bhagavatula ’08, is working on a master’s degree in social work at Columbia University in New York City. “I owe my success to the family I have found at Bucknell,” Bhagavatula said. “The friends I made freshman year have stayed with me and the professors have served as mentors who have forced me to discover my own potential.”

This fall, Ben Young ’08 will be teaching 8th grade language arts in Connecticut. The two-year captain of the Bucknell tennis team said being on the team helped him to mature on and off the court. “I encourage people to give every snap, every point, and every play their all. I want them to understand that when they put on the orange and blue, they represent something larger than themselves,” said Young.
