More than 50 majors and 60 minors
Bucknell offers programs leading to the undergraduate degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science, as well as professional degrees in music, education and business administration.
- The Bachelor of Arts degree offers students the opportunity to pursue depth of study in a single discipline and follow their interests broadly across the curriculum. Students do not have to choose a major until spring of their sophomore year, giving them ample time for intellectual growth and exploration.
- The Bachelor of Science degree focuses more of the student's academic program on disciplines related to his or her major, but still allows exposure to the humanities and social sciences.
- Both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees are offered in each of the natural sciences, mathematics and computer science. In addition, several courses of study offer Bachelor of Science degrees from either the College of Engineering or the College of Arts and Sciences.
- Professional degrees prepare students for a career in a particular profession and emphasize practical skills and training. Bucknell grants professional degrees in music, education, management and accounting.
- Our Five-Year Dual-Degree programs, which are offered through Bucknell’s College of Engineering, enable students to earn a Bachelor’s degree while pursuing a second degree. Students complete both degrees within five years, instead of the six years that would be required if both degrees were pursued separately. Dual-degree programs include a B.S./M.S in Engineering, a B.S. and Bachelor of Management in Engineering and a B.S./B.A. degree from the College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences.
College of Arts & Sciences
