Mirror, Mirror
Tuesday, February 10, Tustin Theatre, 7:00pm
An ensemble-created piece by a cast of college and high school students that looks with compassion and humor at the “tyranny of the media towards women's bodies, the struggles young women have with this issue and their attempts to see themselves and others in a different, more empowered way”.  Contact: Department of Theater and Dance.

RAD - Rape Agression Defense, February 10, 11, 17 & 18, Larison Dining Hall, 6:00pm-9:00pm
A program of self-defense tactics and techniques for women.  Free to women on campus and in the greater Lewisburg community.  Provided each semester by certified instructors from the Department of Public Safety.  Contact: Lisa Lapp at 577-3333

Go Red for Women Day!

Show your support for women with heart disease and help to raise awareness by wearing red!  A faculty/staff luncheon is scheduled from 11:45 to 1:00pm in Hunt Formal.

Hooking Up: Sex, Dating and Relationships on Campus

Dr. Kathleen Bogle, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice at LaSalle University, will be on campus to discuss her research exploring how people get together both during and after college.

Women of War Panel Discussion
Thursday, March 19, Trout Auditorium, 7:00pm
A panel of Bucknell international students will talk about how war has affected women in their home countries.  Other panelists to include American female students/staff who served or had family serve in the military during war time.  This event will help kick-off three days of global awareness activities with social justice student groups on-campus.  Co-sponsored with International Student Services.  Contact: Rudo Mawema ‘09

Women Don’t Ask: Negotiation and the Gender Divide
Monday, April 6, LC Forum, 7:00pm
Author Sara Laschever will be on campus to discuss the negotiating habits of women and men, and to explore personal and societal reasons women may not ask for what they need, want and deserve at home and at work.

Take Back the Night March
Tuesday, April 7 (Time: TBA)

Join us as we march from campus to Hufnagle Park to raise awareness about sexual assault and domestic violence.  The Clothesline Project will be displayed in the park, weather permitting.  All are welcome and encouraged to participate.
