Your Gifts in Action

• Bucknell Fund

  • Created more scholarships, providing greater access for students to receive a Bucknell education.
  • Development of new initiatives and centers including: Bucknell Institute for Dialogue & Democracy, Center for Career Advancement, Dominguez Center for Data Science, Perricelli-Gegnas Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Ecology Center and Center for Access & Success, all which support the delivery of a stronger academic experience.
  • Brought prominent leaders from various disciplines to campus to provide students with insight and expertise.
  • Upgraded facilities across campus, creating state-of-the-art spaces including the renovation of the Elaine Langone Center, Freas Hall and Rooke Science Building.

   

• ​College of Arts & Sciences

  • Theatre students traveled to the Adishakti Laboratory for Theatre Art Research in India, where they helped create performances that blended fashion, movement and storytelling in a unique, personal way.
  • Students across the College of Arts & Sciences received support to present their research and creative work at professional conferences, gaining valuable experiences that can shape their future careers.
  • Faculty and students studied human remains and related materials in Bucknell's collections to better understand their origins and explore the ethical considerations surrounding the University's stewardship and use of these items.

   

• College of Engineering

  • Hands-on summer research opportunities alongside faculty for nearly 100 students. Some examples of the research include detecting AI-assisted typing and coding, monitoring "forever chemicals" in the Susquehanna River and the effect of therapeutic ultrasound.
  • Student travel to conferences, where many students secured internships and jobs through networking opportunities. More than 150 students traveled to 25 destinations across the country and internationally.
  • Renovations in Dana Engineering Building to include an enhanced Dana 132 classroom design with flexible components to facilitate teamwork and significant enhancements to a multi-use mechanical engineering lab that supports courses in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, heat transfer and internal combustion engines. 

   

• Freeman College of Management

  • Freeman Fellows program fostered student success, delivered targeted peer guidance to almost 250 first-year students.
  • Expanded student support infrastructure by establishing two specialized Career Accelerator positions, focusing on personalized coaching, industry outreach and actionable strategies to help students land high-quality internships and employment.
  • Helped facilitate multidisciplinary research opportunities, empowering students and faculty to pursue impactful individual and team-based work.

   

• President's Fund

  • Inaugural Engineering & Computing Career Connections Conference, held on Bucknell's campus in September 2025.
  • EAB Strategic Advisory Services, for their partnership with University strategic efforts, helping our senior leadership team drive meaningful progress on institutional priorities.
  • Inaugural Bucknell Institute for Public Policy conference, "Policy Changes in a Complex World," featuring an outside speaker, presentation of academic papers and focused on pressing issues like inequality and the environment.
  • The Morrow Farm faculty attended the Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit in Chicago, a premier annual gathering of higher education leaders committed to addressing the climate crisis.
  • Bucknell Seminar for Undergraduate Poets program, bringing together a cohort of promising undergraduate poets from across the country for a week of reading, writing and discussion. Applicants received tuition, lodging, meals and a travel stipend.
  • Humanities Center Residency Fellowship, which appointed a Bucknell faculty member to participate in the National Humanities Center four-week summer residency program. 

   

• Bison Club

  • Enhanced the operating budgets for nutrition, team travel, recruiting, strength and conditioning and leadership development for 27 Division I teams.
  • Contributed nearly $5 million toward the Bucknell Athletics & Recreation Drive for Five.
    Funded student-athlete enhancement activities, including summer training, per diem meals and Alston Awards. 
  • New technologies for practice evaluation, in-game replay and streaming software/equipment, along with student-athlete support areas.
  • Highlighted championship excellence through postseason travel and support of participation beyond Bucknell.
