Studying geography will prepare you with a unique perspective on the world that can be applied to many types of work. These range widely from regional and urban planning, environmental management and conservation, and location analysis, to meteorology, law, nonprofit administration, and development work, among others.
Bucknell geography alumni have gone into diverse fields such as environmental planning and oceanography, corporate management and finance, law, television newscasting, secondary and university teaching, and federal and state government work. Our alumni include the Geographer of the United States and the Deputy Commissioner of the U.S. General Services Administration.

The Career Development Center is located in Botany Building (along 7th Street).
During the academic year, we are open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Summer hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
