Kevork Horissian joined Bucknell in July 2012. In his role of Assistant Provost of Institutional Research & Assessment, he provides the College's leadership with the information required to support institutional planning, policy formation, and decision making; Coordinates and develops reports for the College community as well as regional, state and federal audiences; Participates in strategic and operational planning, supporting academic and administrative program review through institutional research and institutional effectiveness; and supports Bucknell's MSCHE accreditation efforts.
Kevork has spent the past 10 years at Emory and Henry College in Virginia, where he has served as the college's Director of Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness. In this role, Kevork oversaw all institutional assessment and research activities and implemented campus-wide assessment and program-review practices, which advanced the college's accreditation efforts and strategic planning initiatives.
Prior to his time at Emory and Henry College, Kevork taught entrepreneurship classes at the University of Oregon. He also worked as a consultant for the Small Business Development Center in Eugene, OR.
Kevork earned his undergraduate degree from Sofia University in Bulgaria. He holds an MBA and an M.A. in linguistics from the University of Oregon.

Xiaoyan (Rita) Liu joined Bucknell University as an Assistant Director of Institutional Research and Planning in November 2012. She assists the Director in implementation of policies and procedures of the office; Assists the preparation of timely and accurate reports for administrators, the college community, and external agencies (IPEDS, HEDS, PDE, NSF, NCAA, college guidebooks, AAUP etc.); Coordinates the administration, analysis and reporting of various campus-wide surveys; and Provides analytical support and advice in the design and the administration of survey research and design.
Before coming to Bucknell, she worked as the Assessment Analyst of Institutional Assessment at George Mason University. In this role, she provided various data analyses and reports on institutional and national surveys, modified new surveys to reflect the changing needs and priorities of the university community, and conducted wide range research for focus groups. Her scholarly interests include research methodology, student engagement, achievement gap, freshman retention, learning outcome assessment, and program evaluation. Rita earned a PhD in Educational Psychology from University at Buffalo, the State University of New York in 2011.
Patricia Johnston, or Patty as she prefers, has been a member of the Office of Institutional Research and Planning for the past ten years. She provides information for external guides like the Princeton Review and US News and World Report and coordinates many of the annual surveys that come from various consortia to which the University belongs. In addition, she gathers and provides data for many internal inquiries from offices across campus. As coordinator for the administration of our annual student surveys, she completes the preparations necessary for the implementation of the first year and senior surveys.
She is a 1973 graduate of Bucknell with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French.
