Applying for Admission

To apply for admission to Bucknell, use the Common Application. We no longer require a supplemental Bucknell essay, but you'll still be able to tell us about yourself through your Common App essays and other information. || See our Application Requirements

Applying to the College of Arts & Sciences
Select your intended major within the College of Arts & Sciences. If you have not decided which major to pursue, select "Undecided Arts & Sciences" within the College of Arts & Sciences. Please note: The opportunities for students enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences to transfer into the College of Engineering are quite limited, and there will be few, if any, opportunities for students to transfer into the College of Management. You should apply directly to your preferred college.

Applying to the College of Engineering
Select your intended major within the College of Engineering. If you know you want to join the College of Engineering but have not decided which of its majors to pursue, select "Undecided Engineering" as your intended major. Please note: Due to curricular requirements, the opportunities for students enrolled in either the College of Arts & Sciences or College of Management to transfer into the College of Engineering are quite limited. You should apply directly to your preferred college.

Applying to the College of Management
Select your intended major within the College of Management. If you know you want to join the College of Management but have not decided which of the four majors to pursue, select "Undecided Management" as your intended major. Please note: There will be few, if any, opportunities for students enrolled in either the College of Arts & Sciences or College of Engineering to transfer into the College of Management. You should apply directly to your preferred college.

Applying for Financial Aid

The financial aid process is a separate process from applying for admission, but it follows the same deadlines.

Applying for an Arts Merit Scholarship

  • The Arts Merit Scholarship competition follows the regular admissions process. Plan ahead so that you'll have ample time to prepare your materials or performances. (Our other merit scholarship programs do not require a separate application or are by invitation only.)
