Career Communities
As we work to develop resources and programming that expands learning and connections, we are focused on helping you look beyond your major and academic department. Our Career Communities were created to encourage exploration, connecting you with others who are interested in similar careers paths — regardless of major — through industry-specific groups.
Join one (or more) of our six Career Communities to explore your future in:
- Business & Consulting
- STEM
- Creative Arts, Media & Communications
- Government & Public Interest
- Law
- Health
Through this culture of connection, we create career events focused on industries — not majors. When you join a community, you'll receive industry-focused updates from your Career Community Leader highlighting jobs, internships, programs and events that apply specifically to the career of your dreams as well as industry-specific resources, alumni and employer connections, and access to community-specific career coaching appointments.
Alumni Services
We offer our services to Bucknell alumni for a lifetime, providing career coaching and exclusive job-search tools to help you navigate all stages of your career.
With the help of the CCA, I applied for any and every internship I could find at New York City firms ... It was amazing to get a real taste of what the work is like this early on. There's a possibility that this opportunity can lead to even more internships, which I'm so grateful for.

The Center for Career Advancement brings them to you at career fairs both on campus and in major cities around the country. Our annual trips to New York City and Washington, D.C. allow students to network with employers, alumni and parents working the industry hubs of finance, communications, arts & entertainment, government, nonprofit and public affairs.
Attending these events will help you explore careers and companies that interest you, build your network and make a face-to-face connection — one of the best ways start on the path to your first job.
