Aisha Popoola is a licensed professional counselor and holds a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Nigeria, she moved to the U.S. as an international student, an experience that has deeply shaped her approach to counseling and understanding diverse student experiences.

Aisha’s therapeutic approach is grounded in a variety of evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused therapy, and racial empowerment. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space for students, guiding them as they work towards becoming the best versions of themselves. Aisha is also deeply passionate about advocating for students on their healing journeys, particularly in navigating the unique challenges of adjusting to a new cultural environment.

In addition to her work as a counselor, Aisha is committed to making mental health education accessible. She co-hosts The Do We Have Your Attention? podcast and co-runs a mental health platform called BAGit (Been, Aware, and Going Through It), where she shares resources and insights to help individuals better understand and prioritize their mental health.

Aisha speaks Yoruba. Outside of work, Aisha enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking.
