Denny Hummer

Denny Hummer brings over 25 years of executive management, product branding, sales, and entrepreneurial experience from the construction and hospitality industries to the Bucknell SBDC. His expertise lies in guiding clients through the complete business lifecycle - from ideation and planning to launch, growth, and profitability.

Whether working with startups or established businesses, Denny helps clients craft compelling business plans, develop effective marketing strategies, and identify potential funding sources. With a focus on a clear path to profitability, he utilizes the resources of the PASBDC network, Community Partnerships, and Bucknell University to transform business ideas into thriving enterprises.

Denny is the driving force behind StartUp Lewisburg and co-founded StartUp Danville, Bucknell's community-based incubators nurturing innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs. He facilitates connections between member firms and Bucknell, enabling them to leverage the university's innovative technology and expertise to advance new services and products to market.

Holding a BA in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh, Denny has also completed the Business Incubation Management Certificate Program through the International Business Innovation Association. His passion lies in empowering entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth within local communities.
