About Kathryn Maguet
Kathryn Maguet has served as the executive director of the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University since May 2011.
In December 2015, Tripping ranked the Weis Center third on its list of The Best College Performing Arts Centers: Top 10. In May 2014, BestValueSchools also ranked the Weis Center third on its list of 25 Most Amazing University Performing Arts Centers in recognition of its mix of programming and community engagement.
Prior to joining Bucknell, Maguet was Center Series director at the University of Massachusetts Fine Arts Center in Amherst, Mass.
Her other previous positions include director of performing arts at Sun Valley Center for the Arts in Sun Valley, Idaho; executive director of Peery's Egyptian Theatre in Ogden, Utah; and director of performing arts at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.
Maguet has also taught theatre arts and arts administration at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minn., and at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
She earned a B.S. in communications and dance from Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.; a B.A. in theatre arts from Millikin University in Decatur, Ill.; and an M.A. in arts administration from the American University in Washington, D.C.
Maguet has also worked as a producer for several theatre, film and dance productions across the United States.
