Marina's special areas of interest include: identity development, traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, and grief.
Marina's therapeutic style is shaped by a life-long passion for literature, history, and culture, with particular attraction to questions concerning the nature of individual subjectivity. Marina enjoys meeting with new clients and works to establish a place of safety and trust in therapy.
Marina views individuals as “the experts” of their experiences, and strives to become “the student” of each person she works with. Marina believes that the influences of age, culture, education, and gender, as well as historical, racial, relational, and social experiences have significant impact on perception of self, others, and the world. Knowing this, she attempts to view the world through the eyes of her clients to understand their experiences and the unique meaning those experiences hold.
Marina speaks Russian, Hebrew, and understands Ukrainian. In her free time, she enjoys reading.
