About Martin Isleem

Director, Arabic Studies

Martin Isleem is the director of the Arabic Studies program and teaches the Arabic language and culture courses. Martin Isleem joined Bucknell University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Arabic in Fall of 2009. In 2011, he defended his Ph.D. dissertation entitled "Language Attitude and Change among the Druze in Israel" and graduated in Summer of 2012 from the University of Texas at Austin. In Fall of 2012, Martin Isleem was hired as an Assistant Professor of Arabic at Bucknell University. Under Martin Isleem's supervision, the Curriculum Committee approved a minor in Arabic Studies.
