Sophia Mastandrea earned her Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Athletic Counseling, from Springfield College. Sophia has worked with K-12 students, college students and athletes, as well as West Point Army Cadets and those recovering from substance abuse. She has experience working with those in the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals from various cultural backgrounds. Sophia’s therapeutic style is to provide a comfortable, safe space for the student to feel heard and understood, while also using various counseling techniques, such as solution-focused brief therapy, intersectional feminist theory, trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic therapy, and logotherapy. Sophia is committed to providing relevant and helpful resources to those she works with as well as being a source of support, empowerment, and compassion.

When Sophia is not working, she can be found spending time with family and friends, at the beach, or reading her latest Barnes and Noble purchase.
