Project Catalyst: How to Engineer Engineering Education Workshop

Project Catalyst is a three-day summer workshop for engineering faculty that provides attendees with improved understanding of effective course design and assessment.

Participants will develop a plan to execute changes in a target class to improve or increase:

  • Student learning
  • Student engagement
  • Student motivation
  • Instructor satisfaction
  • Instructor work-life balance
  • Combine the above elements into a coherent whole to improve your course

You will leave the workshop with a plan for your target course, personalized mentoring from an experienced faculty member, and connections and contacts with peers working on similar teaching innovations. Our facilitators are ASEE Fellows, teaching award winners and NSF educational research award recipients. They have more than 150 combined years of experience teaching high-achieving undergraduate engineering students across many disciplines.

Workshop is held on-campus at Bucknell University July 9–11, 2025. Registration cost is $600 (early) or $900 (regular). More details and how to sign up are below.
