Awards and Honors
Bucknell University has a long tradition of recognizing the accomplishments of our students in the classroom, the lab and the playing field, as well as in the University community and the world beyond Bucknell. The provost's office works with faculty and staff throughout the University to formally acknowledge these accomplishments with a variety of endowed and named awards.

Annual Student Awards
The outstanding achievements of students during the first, sophomore and junior years are recognized each fall semester during the Fall Student Awards ceremony, traditionally held during Family Weekend.
Teaching Awards
The University presents teaching awards to professors for excellence in teaching across the disciplines at Bucknell’s annual Commencement ceremony.

Presidential Professors
Presidential Professorships recognize members of the Bucknell faculty for outstanding achievement in all three areas of University life: teaching, scholarship and service. Professorships are awarded annually to two faculty members for a three-year term, so that six faculty members hold the title of Presidential Professor in any given year.
