Information for Transfer Applicants

At Bucknell, we're looking for curious and clever students — even those whose college journey didn't begin here.

We invite students who are currently, or have previously been, enrolled at two- or four-year institutions to apply to join our community of engineers and explorers, artists and altruists, leaders and innovators.

When you apply to Bucknell as a transfer student, we examine your application personally, considering both your experience in high school and in college. We holistically review grades, curriculum, recommendations and beyond-the-classroom experience to gain a full understanding of everything that makes you unique.

Submitting IELTS Scores Electronically

Below is the exact information applicants should provide to their test centers when requesting scores to be sent to Bucknell University:

Account name: Bucknell University Undergraduate Admissions
Address: One Dent Drive
City: Lewisburg
State: PA
ZIP code: 17837

Finance Requirements

Applicants requiring a student visa to study in the U.S. are required to submit proof of financial support. All finance documents must be received for an application to be reviewed.

All finance documents for non-U.S. citizens should be submitted to the Office of Admissions by Nov. 1 for spring and March 15 for fall consideration.

Note: Because of Bucknell's exceptional retention rate, financial aid is extremely limited for international transfer students.

Bank Statement or Financial Certification Document

All international applicants must submit a certified bank statement (see a sample) or Financial Certification Document. If the applicant is admitted, these documents will be used as proof of financial support for the student visa process.

Please understand that, due to limited funding, students who do not receive financial aid during their first year will not be offered aid in subsequent years.

International Student Application for Financial Assistance (ISAFA)

International students who wish to apply for financial aid must submit the International Student Application for Financial Assistance (ISAFA). Tax documents are not required at the time of application, but may be requested later. International students are also welcome to submit the CSS Profile for financial aid consideration, but please note that Bucknell is unable to provide CSS fee waivers.
