B.O.B. performing at Fall Fest

Catch a campus concert, try to stay afloat in canoe battleship or hear a fascinating lecture from a celebrity newsmaker.

With events happening every night of the week, you'll never run out of things to do. Many of these can't-miss events are hosted by Campus Activities & Programs; others are put on by Bucknell's many student groups and organizations.

Below, we've collected some of our favorites.

Bucknell Refresh

Fall

Grab free food from 15 different food trucks on Sojka Lawn. Meet new people and hang out with friends with this annual event that takes place the Saturday after the first week of class.

Fall Fest

Sojka Lawn (rain location: Gerhard Fieldhouse)

Fall Fest welcomes incoming first-year students to Bucknell and returning students back with a fun-filled evening with carnival rides, picnic food, student performers and giveaways, culminating in a performance by a major recording artist. Recent performers include DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), B.o.B. and Plain White T's.

Christy’s A Cappella Concert

Fall

Students from all of Bucknell's a cappella groups share the stage during this long-running annual concert, held during Homecoming & Family Weekend each fall.

Center Stage

Fall

Student opening acts set the stage for A-list comedy artists at this annual stand-up showcase. Recent headliners include Sal Vulcano, Eric Andre, Adam DeVine, Nick Offerman and Wanda Sykes.

Student Lectureship Committee

Fall and spring

Student Lectures bring nationally and internationally recognized speakers, selected by Bucknell students, to campus. Recent guests include comedian and activist Chelsea Handler and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.

Student Concert Committee

Fall or spring

Major recording artists, chosen by students, perform on campus each year. Recent concerts include Migos, Lil' Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Steve Aoki.

Wine and Beer Tastings

Fall and spring

Students can sample wines and beers — many produced here in Central Pennsylvania — and learn about brewing and winemaking at free tastings. Tastings are usually held on campus or at local breweries and wineries.

Canoe Battleship

Spring

Teams of four to five board canoes armed with buckets, water guns and shields and try to sink their opponents' boats in this fun-filled annual event held in Kinney Natatorium.

Bison Sound

Spring

Bucknell's spring music and arts festival feature concerts by a slate of up-and-coming artists and free food for students and the entire Bucknell community.
