The Shepherd Poverty Internship Program
The Bucknell Shepherd Poverty Internship Program coordinates and supports an eight-week Summer Internship Program where cohorts of interns live together and work full-time with community partners engaged in anti-poverty work. Participating students receive summer housing as well as a modest living stipend. Bucknell offers these experiences in conjunction with the Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty (SHECP), with placements available across various urban and rural locations and sectors in the country. Upon successful completion of the internship, Bucknell provides an education award.
Community Service Federal Work-study Program
The Community Service Federal Work-study Program matches nonprofit organizations with Bucknell's work-study eligible students. Student employees are paid from federal grant money and are able to work at specified tasks within your organization, as long as the position benefits local residents or the public good.
