Campus Services
In addition to its primary focus on safety, security and emergency response, Public Safety provides a number of services for the campus community.
More information about ID card services, event management and security, officer-led training opportunities and other services can be found below. Remember that Public Safety may be able to help in situations beyond emergencies, such as vehicle dead batteries or escorting you home after dark.
Card Services
Card Services issues and manages BUID cards for students, faculty, staff and friends of the University. If you are a new employee in need of a BUID, or if you have issues with or need a replacement for an existing card, please contact Card Services.
Event Management
Public Safety coordinates security, parking management and other services at events and VIP visits held on University property. If you would like to host an event on University property and require the services of Public Safety or parking personnel, please complete an Event Management Agency Request form. Requests should be submitted 20 working days prior to any event, whenever possible.

Training
Public Safety provides a variety of training materials, classes and seminars upon request. Topics include self-defense, CPR and first aid, active shooter response, situational awareness and de-escalation techniques. Training can be requested by individual students and employees as well as by campus entities, including student clubs and organizations, offices and departments.

Bicycle Registration
If you bring a bicycle to campus, Public Safety urges you to register your bicycle. Registration helps us to locate missing or stolen bicycles and return them to their owners.
Safe Escort Service
Bucknell Public Safety operates a safe escort service for any member of the University community who requires an escort to, from or around campus from dusk until dawn, seven days a week.
BSAFE App
The BSAFE App is a community safety application you can use to report safety and security concerns, request immediate assistance and access other reporting and support resources.
