UnHerd Series
The UnHerd Series is an educational outreach series sponsored by Multicultural Student Services. UnHerd provides in-depth training and workshops focused on tangible skills. The series name comes from the idea that in order to promote equity we must be willing to listen to the voices silenced by oppression and also break away from the mainstream narratives and dualities that keep us from making progress.
Please note that each session is 2 to 3 hours long, so plan accordingly.
Check the event calendar for upcoming UnHerd programs.
Black Women's History Week
Feb. 26–March 4
In 1851, Sojourner Truth delivered her most controversial yet powerful speech: "Ain't I a Woman?" Her speech continues to touch many Black women in the present.
Presented by Bucknell Humanities Center; The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, & Gender; College of Engineering; Critical Black Studies; The Griot Institute for the Study of Black Lives & Cultures; Library & Information Technology; Multicultural Student Services; the Stadler Center for Poetry and Literary Arts; Women's & Gender Studies; and the Women's Resource Center. Black Women's History Week at Bucknell will amplify often ignored voices.
Join us in celebrating the intersectionality of being both Black and a woman here at Bucknell University.
