Gender-affirming Care
Everyone has the right to access quality, evidence-based health care. Gender-affirming care for transgender students is available at Bucknell Student Health. We can provide primary care, hormone therapy, follow-up care, sexual health care, and education regarding outside resources.
The journey to good health begins with a great relationship between patient and provider. Because well-informed, engaged, and committed patients have the best outcomes, our protocol employs a student agreement to services. Furthermore, best practice directs that care be provided via on-going appointments; from discussion and initiation of the best care option for each individual to follow-up appointments to assure safety, efficacy, and patient satisfaction.
To access our services, call our clinic at 570-577-1401 to schedule an appointment.
During your appointment(s), you will receive:
- Complete and thorough assessments and physical exams
- Education regarding available care options including the benefits, risks, and potential cost information
- Opportunities to ask questions and receive answers
Visits to Bucknell Student Health are available to ALL students at NO additional cost regardless of the type of health insurance you have.
